What will you get from us -

First - 12 weeks training in Guards Company of the Army Training Regiment at Pirbright in drill, physical fitness, weapon handling and firing, map reading, fieldcraft, first aid, adventure training and an introduction to equitation.

Second - If you choose to go first onto the operational side, you will complete 9 weeks specialist training at the Royal Armoured Corps Centre at Bovington in Dorset as a driver and signaller of an armoured fighting vehicle before joining the Reconnaissance Regiment at Windsor. Those that select the Ceremonial side first will undergo 16 weeks of equitation at the riding school in Windsor, followed by 4 weeks riding in ceremonial uniform before passing out as one of the Army's most highly trained soldiers in either The Life Guards or The Blues and Royal Squadrons at The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment at Hyde Park Barracks in London.
