THE HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY REGIMENT

A Squadron will be returning from some well-earned post operational tour leave to take over their vehicles and prepare for the summer's activities.

The first major challenge that they have is to prepare for a dismounted training package. A Squadron will join B and D and Headquarters Squadron in the Welsh hills for a ten day exercise on their feet. A challenging programme of live firing, survival and endurance is planned.

In addition, there is a planned visit by The Royal Canadian Dragoons. They will visit Windsor in May, and D squadron is already planning a return visit in the autumn. There will be a number of soldiers in camp for early May as both the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment and the Kings Troop RHA are visiting in order to support the Royal Windsor Horse Show, and the pageant of All the Queen's Horses.
