HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY - WHAT'S ON AUGUST 2001

THE HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY REGIMENT (HCR) - WINDSOR
The majority of the Regiment are now on leave until 20th of this month. On 26th A Squadron (LG) will start Troop Training on Salisbury Plain Training Area (SPTA). B Squadron (LG) and C Squadron (RHG/D) will be training in barracks. D Squadron (RHG/D) and Headquarters Squadron Echelon will also be conducting Troop Training on SPTA from 26th. The Regiment is also providing support to Navy Week in Portsmouth from 24th - 27th of the month.

THE HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY MOUNTED REGIMENT (HCMR) - KNIGHTSBRIDGE
The Regiment move to Bodney Camp in Norfolk on 12th for their Annual Regimental Training and Summer Camp period. They will be conducting military training in dismounted reconnaissance, annual firing and map reading courses. In addition they will be taking part in their normal equestrian competitions; cross country and show jumping. Sadly, because of the continued foot and mouth problems the Annual Open Day has been cancelled.
